This page explains how to delete your SpotCache account and what happens to your data.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open SpotCache and sign in with your email account.
- Go to Settings → Data and Privacy.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you can’t use the app, email support@spotcache.ai with the subject “Delete my SpotCache account”. Send it from the email address you signed up with so we can confirm the account is yours. We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account (email address and password).
- Your AI scan usage record (scan counts used to apply limits).
What is not stored by us
- Your items, boxes, locations, photos and receipts are stored only on your device and never on our servers. Deleting your account doesn’t remove them. To remove them, uninstall the app or clear its data.
- Backups are saved in your own Google Drive or iCloud, not with us. On Google Drive, go to Settings → Manage apps → SpotCache → Delete hidden app data. On iOS, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.
- Crash reports and usage statistics don’t contain your email or content. Firebase keeps them for its standard retention periods (for example, up to 90 days for crash reports), then deletes them.
If you never created an account, we have no account data to delete. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
